Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Wonton Bites

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 20-24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  • Prepare the Filling In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the diced strawberries until evenly distributed.
  • Assemble the Wontons Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface and place about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake mixture in the center.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and press to seal, forming a triangle or pouch shape.
  • Fry the Wontons In a large pot or deep skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully drop a few wontons into the hot oil, frying for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove the wontons and drain on paper towels.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coating In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  • While the wontons are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
