Ingredients
Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped for garnish
Directions
1️⃣ Prepare the Cake:
🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
🥣 In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
🧈 In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
🥚 Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in vanilla extract.
🌿 Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream and milk.
🍫 Fold in chopped pistachios & white chocolate chips.
2️⃣ Bake the Cake:
- Divide batter evenly into three cake pans.
- Bake 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool 10 minutes in pans, then transfer to a wire rack.
3️⃣ Prepare the Frosting:
- Beat butter until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
- Beat until light & fluffy.
4️⃣ Assemble the Cake:
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top.
- Repeat with remaining layers and frost the top & sides.
- 🌿 Garnish with chopped pistachios.
5️⃣ Chill & Serve:
- ❄️ Chill cake for at least 30 minutes before serving.
