
- Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef:
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain into bite-sized pieces. Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Stir-Fry the Beef:
- Heat sesame oil and vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef in batches (do not overcrowd the pan) and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Combine:
- Add the cooked beef back to the pan, tossing it in the sauce to coat well. Stir in the green onions and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with sesame seeds, extra green onions, and a sprinkle of chili flakes for heat (optional).
- Serve:
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a satisfying meal.
